James Yorkston is one of the best storytellers around. His last solo record When Haar Rolls In, has been in my car since 2008, so I've been anticipating a new release for a while and it doesn't disappoint.
For me only Grand Salvo and Bonnie Prince Billy come close to his ability to astutely capture an environment and weave it into an emotive narrative.
