I managed to catch recent Sub Pop signees Memoryhouse a few times late last year in New York at CMJ (favourite live performances ‘11). Named after a Max Richter album, its clear where they draw their sound and inspiration from with their music feeling very much like sweet vocals have been laid over intricate, dramatic electronic compositions.
Their album ‘The Slideshow Effect’ is out Feb 28 and is one of my most anticipated releases this year.
